about marcellus
Marcellus Casey is passionate about sharing the Gospel with clarity and inspiring transformation. As a husband, father, pastor, and NFL chaplain, Marcellus has dedicated his life to leading others in faith and purpose. His journey began during his junior year of college football, when he felt called to leave the team and serve as a team chaplain—a mission that has shaped his life for over two decades.
Marcellus’ passion for ministry is influenced by his father, who pastored an inner-city church and served as a chaplain to Olympic and professional athletes. Over the years Marcellus has served as the chaplain for the University of Illinois football and basketball teams, directed Fellowship of Christian Athletes programs in Kansas and Missouri, and ministered to vulnerable families in Kansas City.
Marcellus is currently serving his eighth season as the chaplain for the Kansas City Chiefs and is the founder of Championship Greatness Fitness Collective—a boxing gym that combines faith, fitness, and mentorship to create meaningful change.
Marcellus and Stephanie have been married for 19 years and have four children: Salem, Cora, Vivienne, and Ralphie. Whether mentoring athletes, coaching young boxers, or ministering in the city, Marcellus brings a heart for people and a deep commitment to Christ.
